Chris Biren, a senior at Arvada West High School, has a 4.0 grade-point average and has taken a number of advanced-level classes, including world languages, chemistry, physics, calculus and trigonometry.

Chris is a multisport athlete, participating in football, basketball and baseball all four years of high school. He was the first athlete at Arvada West to start on the varsity football team as a freshman. He has played running back, tight end and linebacker and received honorable mention recognition as a sophomore.

Chris missed part of his junior year due to illness, but he returned this year to be one of the leading tacklers for the team’s defense.

Chris has also received honorable mention recognition for varsity basketball the past two years.

He has volunteered mowing lawns for elderly neighbors and participated in Arvada West’s reading program, a project where athletes read to local elementary school students.

Chris is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in business in college. He has not decided which college he will attend.
