Montbello wide receiver Drew Davis signed a letter of intent Friday to play football at Oregon.
Davis, a speedy 6-feet-2, 205 pounds and a two-time all-state pick by The Denver Post, will graduate Thursday from Montbello then enroll at Oregon next month.
“I’m real excited,” Davis said Saturday. “My coach (Polica Houston) and I broke down a lot of things – the football aspect, academics aspect and social aspect, and it seems Oregon had more things for me and was a better fit for my personality.”
Davis, who said he will enter with an undeclared major, also considered California, UCLA and Washington.
