Full Sail LTD 01, $6.99 a six-pack
Limited-edition seasonal beers have been around almost as long as the revived microbrewing industry.
Full Sail Brewery, celebrating 20 years of employee-owned brewing in Hood River, Ore., is just catching up with the idea with its seasonal LTD Series, beginning with LTD 01, a copper-colored lager with a well-balanced mix of three kinds of malts and laid-back hints of hops. It contains 6.4 percent alcohol (by volume). LTD 02 will follow in the spring.
Six-packs of LTD (the brewery says it stands for “limited edition” or “Live The Dream”) come with a recipe, in case you want to do more than just drink it.
