Angelina Jolie is a big- time movie star. She’s won an Oscar and she’s cohabitating with big-time movie star Brad Pitt. But Jolie was afraid to tell Robert De Niro she was pregnant while filming “The Good Shepherd.” Quoted by MSNBC.com, Jolie said, “I fell faint in the middle of singing Christmas carols (during a scene), and then I felt really bad. I thought I was confessing to the Godfather that I’ve done something terribly wrong and I just said, ‘Bob, I think I’m pregnant.”‘ Like any dutiful director, De Niro rushed to get her a banana. “He was like a man who has had many, many kids,” Jolie said. “He ran and got me some food.”
Nancy Sinatra paid tribute to her late father, Frank, on what would have been his 91st birthday. Dining with New York Rep. José Serrano at Sinatra’s favorite eatery, Patsy’s, on Dec. 12, Nancy bought the house a round of drinks and stood and thanked Patsy’s owners, Joe, Sal and Frank Scognamillo, for feeding her dad over the years, the New York Post reported.
Hilary Swank tells Readers Digest magazine she worried she ingested too much mercury while filming “Million Dollar Baby.” Trying to add muscle for her Oscar- winning boxer role, Swank said she ate a lot of fish.
Convicted serial killer Sante Kimes, twice featured in made-for-TV movies, is serving a 120-year sentence in Bedford Hills State Prison in New York. Kimes has not been a model prisoner, it appears. The New York Post’s Liz Smith reports the murderer of socialite widow Irene Silverman has been fighting with the guards, smuggling and counterfeiting. Kimes has spent two years in solitary, which prison officials extended to September 2007. Kimes has no phone or commissary privileges, meaning she cannot buy her favorite candy bar – a PayDay!
