Here is an updated schedule of events planned today for Gov.-elect Bill Ritter’s inauguration.

8 a.m.: Ritter family attends Mass at Holy Ghost Church, 1900 California St. (Mass is open to the public but cameras are not allowed.) 10 to 11 a.m.: Public seating opens on the West Steps and lawn of the Capitol and musical performances begin in the plaza area.

10 to 10:15 a.m.: Trinidad Community Chorale.

10:15 to 10:30 a.m.: Moffat County High School Choir.

10:30 to 11 a.m.: The Colorado National Guard Band.

11 a.m.: Formal inaugural swearing-in program begins. Senate President Joan Fitz-Gerald and Speaker of the House Andrew Romanoff give brief welcoming remarks.

11:10 to 11:20 a.m.: Escort committees bring in Gov. Bill Owens, Lt. Gov. Jane Norton, Gov.-Elect Bill Ritter and Lt. Gov-Elect Barbara O’Brien.

11:20 a.m.: Presentation of the colors by the Colorado National Guard and singing of the National Anthem by Charmine Anderson and Ken Parks.

11:25 a.m.: The Rev. James Peters Jr. gives the invocation.

11:28 a.m.: American Indian blessing by Ute Mountain Ute and Southern Ute tribes.

11:37 to 11:43 a.m.: Members of the state Board of Education and CU Regents, and Secretary of State Mike Coffman, Treasurer Cary Kennedy and Attorney General John Suthers take their oaths of office.

11:45 a.m.: Owens delivers remarks.

11:51 a.m.: America the Beautiful performed by West High School Lariat Choir.

11:54 a.m.: O’Brien takes the oath of office and gives remarks.

11:58 a.m.: Ritter takes the oath of office.

12:03 p.m.: “Ruffles and Flourishes” performed by the Colorado National Guard Band, followed immediately by a 19-gun salute by the Army soldiers from Fort Carson.

12:10 p.m.: Ritter delivers his Inaugural Address.

12:25 p.m.: Colorado State University Chamber Singers perform “Where the Columbines Grow.” 12:29 p.m.: Colorado National Guard F-16 fly-over.

12:29 p.m.: Benediction by Rabbi Steven Foster.

12:32 p.m.: Senate President Fitz-Gerald makes closing remarks.

12:40 to 2 p.m.: Public reception and greeting line in the Rotunda with Ritter, O’Brien, Coffman, Kennedy and John Suthers.
