Computershare Limited, a financial services provider, announced it has acquired the transfer-agent business of Western Corporate Services, doing business as U.S. Stock Transfer Corp. Computershare will retain U.S. Stock Transfer’s Glendale, Calif., facility, and the business will be managed as part of Computershare’s Golden-based operations.

Galaxy Energy Corp. of Denver and its wholly owned subsidiary, Dolphin Energy Corp., have agreed to extend the closing date to March 31 to sell oil-field interests to PetroHunter Energy Corp. The extension allows more time for PetroHunter to obtain financing.

Gasco Energy of Denver announced 2006 year-end proved reserves of approximately 42.2 billion cubic feet of natural-gas equivalent, made up of 40 billion cubic feet of natural gas and 370,581 barrels of natural-gas liquids.Gasco also reported a net loss of $55.8 million, or 65 cents per share for 2006, as compared with a loss of $71,000, or 0 cents per share, for 2005.

Isonics Corp., a Golden-based provider of solutions for the homeland security and semiconductor markets, announced that it has received notification from Nasdaq that it has regained compliance for continued listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market.

Arcadis, with U.S. headquarters in Highlands Ranch, was selected by the Environmental Business Journal to receive the Gold Medal Award for Wall Street Index Performance. The stock gained 97 percent in 2006, following a 72 percent gain in 2005.

The Western Union Co. of Douglas County announced that its global-agent network has expanded to Chandigarh, India. Western Union now offer services through 300,000 locations around the globe.
