Heather Mills’ “disproportionate” emergency calls have caused police in the U.K. to issue a warning to Paul McCartney’s estranged wife. The London Evening Standard reports Chief Superintendent Kevin Moore of Brighton and Hove said Mills made four emergency calls in a 24-hour period from her East Sussex home. Moore said: “We are duty-bound to respond, but clearly people who make lots of calls to the police run the risk of being treated as the little boy who cried wolf.” Mills’ sister, Fiona, made an Internet plea in January claiming media harassment and voiced concerns for the safety of Heather and her daughter Beatrice.
