Denver Post editorial cartoonist Mike Keefe has been awarded the top prize in the 2007 John Fischetti Editorial Cartoon Competition. Keefe’s cartoon, published Jan. 28, 2006, and depicting President Bush at the signing of the U.S. Constitution, was among 216 entries by 72 cartoonists. The contest, sponsored by the Columbia College Chicago Department of Journalism, honors Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist John Fischetti and carries a $4,000 first-place award.
