Four people died Wednesday afternoon when the small car they were riding in drifted over the yellow line and crashed head-on into a dump truck outside of Delta.
The Colorado State Patrol said the four were riding in a 2004 Hyundai Sonata eastbound on Colorado 92 when they hit a westbound 1979 Ford dump truck that was towing a trailer and a farm tractor.
The identity of the four victims was not released pending notification of their families. The dump truck driver was not injured, the state patrol said.
Drugs and alcohol were not considered to be factors in the crash.
