In just seven hours, two men were killed and four were wounded in separate shootings and stabbings that began Saturday night and ended Sunday morning.

In Aurora, a security guard was killed outside La Cabana bar after police say one of two unruly patrons who were told to leave stabbed him.

Police found the security guard with multiple stab wounds about 12:25 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Yosemite Street. He was pronounced dead at a hospital 25 minutes later.

Investigators followed a blood trail from the scene of the stabbing and believe the assailant was injured during the fight.

Detective Shannon Lucy said the assailant’s injuries should be noticeable because the blood drops were “significant.”

“It’s probably a real serious cut or laceration,” she said.

Aurora police are looking for 28-year-old Oscar Montana as a “person of interest” in the homicide. Montana also goes by the names Ceasar and Omar, police said.

The name of the security guard, a contract worker, was not released.

Late Saturday, a 20-year-old man was killed at a home in the 10600 block of Albion Street in Thornton, police told 9News.

Two men went into the home about 11:21 p.m. and began fighting with the victim and one of the two shot him.

The name of the man who was killed was not released late Sunday.

In Fort Collins, two men were stabbed multiple times after an argument with two other people inside the Drunken Monkey Cantina at 151 S. College Ave.

Zachary Miller, 25, and Mitchell Turner, 19, were found wounded in an alley near the bar about 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

Police arrested 24-year-old Anthony James Medina of Grand Junction after he sought treatment at McKee Medical Center for cuts to his hand. Hospital workers thought his injuries were suspicious and called police.

Medina’s cousin, 29-year-old Christopher Michael Burrell of Loveland, was arrested at his home.

Police said the motive for the stabbing was robbery.

In Lakewood, a man was shot after a dispute at a house party about 12:45 a.m Sunday, said Stacie Oulton, city spokeswoman.

“We believe it was gang-related and there were multiple people involved,” Oulton said.

The condition and name of the man who was shot were unavailable late Sunday.

At 6:44 p.m. Saturday, Longmont police found two men fighting in the northbound lanes of Main Street near Third Avenue.

The victim, Guy Terry, 38, was stabbed eight times but was conscious on his way to the hospital.

Police said Terry was stabbed at several locations throughout an apartment complex at 240 Main St. after confronting Paul Wettengel, 37.

Terry is expected to survive, police said.

Wettengel was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

“There was bad blood between them, I guess,” said Longmont police Sgt. Jeffrey M. Satur. “I think he was trying to protect (his girlfriend), but there are other ways of dealing with this.”
