LARIMER COUNTY

Two women arrested after police chase

Two women were arrested after one of them led Larimer County sheriff’s deputies on a pursuit through Poudre Canyon early Monday.

About 1:15 a.m. deputies went to the Glen Echo Resort to investigate a report of a disturbance, police said.

Once there, an ambulance crew told the officers that two people left the resort in a blue Jeep sport utility vehicle.

The officers spotted the SUV on Colorado 14 and used “road fangs” to stop the car after the driver refused to pull over, police said.

The driver, Selena M. Pieplow, 27, was arrested on suspicion of eluding the officers, driving under the influence, driving under restraint, reckless driving and failure to show proof of insurance, police said.

A passenger in the SUV, Tiffany Lynn Gray, 24, was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant issued by Jefferson County, according to police.

The truck then got back on the road while out of control and went off the left side of the highway. The pickup rolled and came to rest on its top.

Paschall, who remains free on a $1,000 bond, will enter a plea May 14.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is warning people to be aware of a scam involving jury duty.

The scam has been reported in Oklahoma, Illinois and Colorado.

Law enforcement advises people not to give personal information over the phone. Those legitimately called to jury duty will receive a jury summons by mail.
