The Colorado Springs Economic Development Corp. on Saturday presented its 2006 Community Economic Impact Awards to T. Rowe Price for its decision to add 650 employees to its Colorado Springs campus and to dpiX LLC, a consortium of medical X-ray imaging-system companies, for plans to employ 125 and invest $90 million in the Colorado Springs facility.

Denver-based ProLogis announced that it has pre-leased approximately 290,000 square feet of distribution space in Southern California to Oakley Inc., a provider of sunglasses and prescription eyewear.

Zynex Medical Holdings Inc., a Littleton-based provider of pain-management systems and electrotherapy products, announced a 322 percent increase in orders for April 2007 compared with the same month last year and a 6.5 percent increase over March.

Baxa Corp. of Douglas County has signed a co-marketing agreement with CriticalPoint LLC to promote its Web-based sterile compounding curriculum. The CriticalPoint curriculum provides programs for pharmacists and technicians involved in sterile compounding activities.

Setanta Sports, an international sports broadcaster, announced it has become an official sponsor of the U.S. men’s national rugby team, the U.S. Eagles, and an official presenting sponsor of Boulder-based USA Rugby.

Arvada-based Sundyne Corp. and Nikkiso Co. Ltd. have agreed to restructure their long-standing joint venture to market and service pumps and compressors in the Asia Pacific region. The joint-venture company now will be named Sundyne Nikkiso and will have exclusive sales and service management responsibility in the Asia Pacific region for Sundyne and Sunflo pump and compressor products made by Sundyne and Nikkiso.

The Remodelors Council of Metro Denver announced the fourth annual auction and sale of building materials to benefit the Home Builders Foundation. The event is from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Closet Factory, 8480 Upland Drive, No. 200, in Centennial.

The University of Colorado at Boulder announced that 16 renewable-energy and sustainability research projects involving faculty and students at CU and scientists from the Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden have been selected for funding beginning this summer. They were chosen from 58 proposals submitted last fall and are being funded with $726,000 from CU-Boulder, the CU System and NREL.

SHiFT, Longmont-based advertising, marketing and public-relations firm, has been retained by the Colorado Department of Transportation to assist with its public-relations initiatives, including a Share the Road awareness and educational campaign and a motorcycle-safety campaign.
