Denver – The Consumer Protection Division of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment suggested that Coloradans who purchased certain packages of Moran’s ground beef at local Albertsons stores check to make sure it hasn’t been recalled because of possible contamination with E. coli.
The labels of the recalled ground beef, sold in late April and early May, bear the Moran’s label and the establishment number “EST. 1241” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
Two Colorado adults were sickened by the bacterium but have recovered.
Consumers with questions about the recall can call the Consumer Protection Division at 303-692-3620. Consumers are urged to discard the contaminated beef or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
