PEORIA, Ill.—United Airlines will offer daily non-stop flights between Denver and the Greater Peoria Regional Airport starting in October, airport officials said Thursday.
Skywest will run the United Express service scheduled to start Oct. 4, according to the Greater Peoria Airport Authority. The airline will offer two flights a day between the cities, leaving Peoria in the morning and returning in the evening.
A message was left Thursday night for a United spokeswoman.
Airport Director Ken Spirito said United will monitor demand to decide whether to add another set of flights or discontinue the service.
“United will review it at some point during the first year and evaluate whether or not we need more,” he said. “The message is, we need to use this service or we lose it.”
The first 50-seat CRJ aircraft will leave Denver the evening of Oct. 4. An adult ticket is expected to cost $268.80, including taxes.
