Pedestrian killed in crash with RTD train in Denver

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a in north Denver on Saturday afternoon, police officials said.

An RTD A line train hit a pedestrian in the 4200 block of North Jackson Street, the Denver Police Department said at 1:23 p.m. Officers are investigating the crash.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the pedestrian as Donovan Yazzie, 35, and said the cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries because of an accident.

Agency officials replaced the train with , 38th/Blake, 40th/Colorado and Central Park stations until further notice. Routes are delayed by up to 30 minutes, according to an alert.
