FORT CARSON, Colo.—A soldier assigned to Fort Carson has died in Iraq of injuries suffered in a non-combat-related incident, military officials said Monday.
Army Spc. Robert D. Varga, 24, of Monroe City, Mo., died Sunday in Baghdad, the Defense Department said.
Details on the incident were not released.
Varga was assigned to the 984th Military Police Company, 759th Military Police Battalion, based at Fort Carson.
Officials said the case was still under investigation.
