Mel Gibson has sold his 76- acre estate in Greenwich, Conn., for $39.5 million, the New York Daily News reported. The 16,000-square- foot mansion has 12 bathrooms, a screening room, two guest houses and a maze worthy of the one in his film “Signs.” No word if it includes a rehab center.
Christie Brinkley is about to relist her Tower Hill estate in Bridgehampton, N.Y., the New York Post reported. Brinkley, 53, announced her separation a year ago from husband Peter Cook because of his well-publicized affair with a teenage girl. She took the house off the market soon after the couple’s split. The 20-acre Hamptons compound includes a restored century-old 8,500-square-foot mansion with a five-story observation tower, a large guest house, a greenhouse, a large pool and a tennis court. The last asking price was $26.5 million.
Speaking of the Hamptons, you soon could see Lance Armstrong running or biking through Southampton. Armstrong’s fashion-designer girlfriend, Tory Burch, has just rented a home on Captain’s Neck Lane for the next four weeks for around $360,000, the New York Post reported. The five- bedroom, 5 1/2-bath waterfront house includes a pool and tennis court. Burch’s estranged husband, venture capitalist Chris Burch, signed the lease. Howard Stern paid $1 million for his extended rental on Meadow Lane owned by Chris Burch.
Michael Jackson has pulled up stakes on his 10-bedroom mansion rental in Las Vegas, his spokeswoman has confirmed. Jackson and his three children, Prince Michael I, 10; Paris Michael, 9; and Prince Michael II Blanket), 5, moved to the Las Vegas suburbs in December of last year from Ireland. Spokeswoman Raymone Bain said Jackson moved out of the Vegas home June 30. “He loved the house but decided to allow the lease to expire because of concerns that security wasn’t sufficient,” Bain was quoted by .
