The Universities of Denver and Wyoming finalized their men’s basketball schedules Thursday, both featuring regional non-league matchups.

Wyoming hosts Colorado for the first time since 1998. Last season, the Cowboys won in Boulder 76-73. Coach Heath Schroyer says the schedule is great for the fans who drive to Laramie because it features several marquee games on Saturday afternoons.

“We not only play two big rivals in CSU and BYU on Saturday afternoons, but we also have conference games against New Mexico, UNLV and Utah coming in here for Saturday afternoon games,” Schroyer said.

Denver opens its season Nov. 8 at the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer in a regional hosted by Oklahoma. The other two teams have yet to be announced. DU also hosts Wyoming (Nov. 13) and Colorado (Nov. 27). The Pioneers also have a home-and-home series vs. Northern Colorado and road games vs. Colorado State and Penn State.
