FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A Fort Collins stranded for five days on a hike northeast of Rocky Mountain National Park remain undaunted.

But Marion and Terry Jones told KUSA TV that they will be more careful next time.

Marion Jones said they were very, very lucky.

Although they knew where they were they couldn’t figure out a way back to civilization before a plane spotted and a rescuer and dog reached them on Thursday morning. Then they were able to walk out.

They said they will need to make sure they how to get back if their route is blocked.
