DENVER—A man who pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a rape in the 1990s is being ordered to serve 80 years in prison.
That’s on top of the 6- to 8-year sentence Benjamin Anderson is already serving for another rape.
The 32-year-old Anderson heard his sentence Monday in a Denver courtroom.
The victim was attacked in April 1994 after buying coffee at a convenience store on her way to work. The crime left the woman — who’s now in her 60s — a quadriplegic.
Anderson pleaded guilty in July to one count of first-degree sexual assault, as well as a violent crime charge, and one count of second-degree kidnapping related to sexual assault.
