If your car is a parking ticket magnet, you only have a few more weeks before that habit will cost you more.
Parking tickets in Denver are set to increase from $20 to $25 on Oct. 1.
Tickets for meter violations, licence plate violations and parking over the time limits in a signed area are among those affected, public works officials said today.
Tickets for parking in a tow-away zone and street sweeping areas will not go up in October, but are scheduled to go up in 2008.
The ticket increase is the second since 2001 when the price went from $15 to $20 and the fine for parking in a space marked for people with disabilities went from $100 to $150.
All parking violations in Denver double if they are not paid in 20 calendar days.
