DES MOINES, Iowa—The Powerball jackpot was expected to rise to an estimated $48 million for Saturday since no one matched all six numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were 20, 25, 26, 45 and 46. The Powerball was 15 and the multiplier was 3.
Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $38.1 million jackpot.
Two Power Play tickets sold in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania matched the first five numbers only to win $600,000.
The top prize in Colorado was $30,000 for a Power Play ticket that matched the Powerball plus four of the other numbers, Colorado Lottery officials said.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
It is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
