The Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League on Tuesday re-signed defenseman Les Borsheim and signed goaltender Clayton Pool.
Borsheim, 28, had career highs last season in goals (five), assists (11) and points (16). His 229 penalty minutes ranked third on the team. Borsheim’s goal in Game 7 of the Northern Conference semifinals helped eliminate Oklahoma City last season.
Pool, 29, played last season with the Muskegon Fury of the United Hockey League, posting a career-high 33 wins and a .920 save percentage.
UCCS men’s golf second at tournament
Todd Napikowski’s three-round total of 2-over-par 218 earned a third-place finish at the Northwest Region Fall Head-to-Head Tournament at Hastings Country Club in Hastings, Minn., leading Colorado-Colorado Springs into second place behind St. Cloud State.
The finish bumped UCCS atop the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference standings, one point ahead of Western New Mexico.
