Colorado Springs – A startup company that helps employers establish health savings accounts for employees has opened its headquarters in Colorado Springs.

MyHealthFunds Inc. hopes to grow to 200 employees. The startup company currently has nine employees.

Ron Diegelman, president and chief financial officer, said MyHealthFunds is targeting companies with between 100 and 500 employees in Colorado, Arizona and Texas.

Diegelman said MyHealthFunds can save employers about 22 percent of health-care costs, and employees would have the same basic coverage and same services.

“A lot of employers are now taking a look at this, both for themselves as well as for their employees,” Diegelman said. “Health-care costs are just rising tremendously and they are consistently rising … and the smaller you are, the more difficult that becomes.”

The company will be looking for customer-service representatives, benefit analysts and program enrollment specialists. Salaries will range between $30,000 and $45,000.
