PUEBLO, Colo.—Now that Colorado State University-Pueblo has a football team again, the school is holding a contest to find a new fight song.

CSU-Pueblo’s football program was cut in 1985, but it was among sports that were reinstated this spring along with wrestling and women’s track. The ThunderWolves expect to play in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in 2008.

The school, once known as the University of Southern Colorado, changed its name in 2003 to Colorado State University-Pueblo.

Members of the public can submit entries for the new fight song. A campus committee will choose the winner.

Entries become the property of the university, which may modify the winning entry.

The winner will receive either $250 cash or a $1,000 scholarship to attend CSU-Pueblo.

Entries must be received by Dec. 14.
