Ah, the rush of November.
Tear down the Halloween decorations, figure out which in-laws can come to Thanksgiving and get ready for the holiday binge of shopping, parties and “A Christmas Story” on the tube.
It’s also the time for a good fantasy rusher. Tell Al Gore – it gets cold this month, and teams will look to run over some weary defensive lines.
Consider this: In Week 9, before the Sunday night game, seven running backs topped the 100-yard mark, compared with five wide receivers. In the same case, 23 touchdowns went to the running backs and 20 to the receivers.
Give the edge to the running backs, and expect the shift to continue as the temperature drops.
Of those seven running backs, half might be homeless in the fantasy world, unless of course you have Justin Fargas (Raiders), Warrick Dunn (Falcons), Ron Dayne (Texans) or Earnest Graham (Buccaneers).
It gets dicey in this last month before fantasy playoffs begin. Try not to shoot your eye out.
