DENVER—The mother and caretaker of a 3-year-old Denver girl face charges of fatal child abuse after she died suffering from malnourishment and dehydration.
Authorities say Zianne Hall weighed less than 22 pounds when she was taken to a hospital on October 13th. She died on October 30th.
The girl’s mother, 23-year-old Shaunee Hall, and caretaker, 36-year-old Tina Houcks, are being held in the Denver jail under $75,000 bail.
They are due back in court on November 13th.
The women’s attorneys did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
