Anne Moore has resigned after nine seasons as coach of the Wyoming women’s soccer team.
Wyoming athletic director Tom Burman announced Moore’s resignation Thursday and thanked the coach for her work with the Cowgirls. Moore is leaving to spend more time with her family.
Moore’s record with Wyoming was 63-91-17.
Rage picks up defenseman. The division-leading Rocky Mountain Rage of the Central Hockey League signed veteran defenseman Matt Frick.
Frick, who played at Lake Superior State, has 120 points (including 23 goals) and 253 penalty minutes in his seven-year professional career. He played last season for the New Mexico Scorpions of the CHL.
The Rage (7-1-1) hosts perennial league power Laredo tonight at the Broomfield Event Center.
Metro State coach departs. Metro State swimming and diving coach Winthrop Dyer has resigned.
Dyer coached Brighton High School product Kenny Rhoades to All-America honors in 1- and 3-meter diving last season.
