DENVER—An early morning fire has damaged two Denver houses and injured four people.

Fire Lieutenant Phil Champagne says one person was burned and three suffered smoke inhalation. They were taken to a hospital but their conditions haven’t been released.

The fire broke out at 2 a.m. and was so hot that it bent a steel beam and melted a gas meter on another house 30 feet away.

The cause hasn’t been determined.
