It’s Raider Week!!!!
What’s that? OK, OK, it’s only Raider week. Yawn.
I don’t know about you, but I liked it better before, when playing the Raiders meant something. When the media didn’t have to reach for story angles. When one of the teams wasn’t hoping to reach .500 and the other wasn’t hoping to snap up some primo tee times in January.
The sports world needs the Raiders to be the Raiders again. The NFL is a better place when the Silver & Black is on the short list of Super Bowl contenders, not a lock for another Top 5 pick in the draft.
And while we’re on the subject, it wouldn’t be an altogether bad idea if the Broncos were legitimate Super Bowl contenders, either.
