COLORADO SPRINGS — A 24-year-old man who was found on a Colorado Springs sidewalk Saturday morning died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Kevin Shields of Colorado Springs was identified as the homicide victim by the El Paso County coroner’s office, said Skip Arms, spokesman for the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Police were notified of the body in the 200 block of South 16th Street at 5 a.m., Arms said. The department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the man’s death and would like to know Shields’ activities during the previous 24 hours, Arms said.
