Mister Neat’s Formalwear, the largest formalwear company in Colorado, has been acquired by Texas-based Al’s Formal Wear.

Founded in 1972, Mister Neat’s Formalwear is family-owned, with 17 retail stores in the state and a distribution center in Loveland. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Al’s Formal Wear has been in business for more than 55 years and is one of the largest family-owned and -operated businesses in the U.S. It has more than 95 stores in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas and employs more than 450 people. It also operates Ascot Formal Wear, a wholesale division.
