The Lemonheads surprised Denver audiences last year with a tight return to the stage, so it’s no surprise the band is happy to play the Front Range again. Catch the alt-rock outfit tonight at the Gothic Theatre and Saturday at the Aggie in Fort Collins. 9 p.m. $13-$18

The Jimi Austin recorded its crisp new EP, “Draw the Lines,” in rapid-fire manner — three songs in three days. The Fort Collins band will release the scorching new disc at the Larimer Lounge tonight with Dualistics, Black Apples and the Jim Jims. 2721 Larimer St. 9 p.m. $8

The Fall Funk Ball, hosted by U.S. Pipe & the Balls Johnson Dance Machine, brings Demon Funkies, Caleb Riley Funk Orchestra and trombonist Greg Boyer to the Toad Tavern on Saturday. 5302 S. Federal Circle in Littleton. 8 p.m. $5
