Denver International Airport is looking into ways to cut its electricity bill.
The airport has hired Siemens Building Technologies to conduct a study of its electricity use and look for ways to become more efficient and environmentally friendly.
The study, estimated to cost at least $75,000, will look at everything from the heating and air-conditioning systems to water use, the baggage system and traffic management. An initial review should be finished by March. The airport spent about $14 million on electricity and $3 million on gas in 2006, officials said.
