PUEBLO, Colo.—Construction of a new headquarters building for the Pueblo Police Department is expected to begin in 2008 after years of delays.
Cost estimates range from $25 million to $30 million. The building is expected to open in December 2009.
Voters rejected the project twice, in 1997 and 2003, before approving it in 2004. Since then, city officials have been sorting out questions about funding and location.
