Scattered snowshowers will fall every day in the Colorado Rocky Mountains for the next week, a weather forecaster predicts.
But the Denver metro area will have mostly sunny weather until Tuesday when there is a 30 percent chance of snow, said Kyle Fredin, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Boulder.
High temperatures will be in the lower 40s today and Sunday, which is normal, Fredin said.
Last night light snow fell in the mountains with Leadville getting the highest amounts with 4 inches of new snow, he said.
After a month of consistent snowshowers throughout the Colorado Rockies, snowpack totals range from about 100 percent of average to 140 percent in the San Juan Mountains in southwest Colorado, Fredin said.
