DENVER—A woman who gave birth in a bathroom stall at a Denver bar then left her baby boy in the trash plead guilty Wednesday to child abuse resulting in death, prosecutors said.
Erin Pendleton, 32, faces up to 40 years in prison when she is sentenced Feb. 28, said Lynn Kimbrough, spokeswoman for the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
Pendleton was arrested in June 2004 after a janitor found the baby in the trash.
