GREELEY, Colo.—A woman whose 7-year-old daughter died after another daughter allegedly acted out the “Mortal Kombat” video game on the girl has been arrested on an unrelated warrant out of New Mexico.

Dana Trujillo, 30, of Johnstown was being held in the Weld County Jail on three charges of child abuse stemming from when she and three daughters lived in Socorro, N.M., in 2003.

Socorro police Capt. Mike Winders said Trujillo was suspected of not feeding or properly caring for her children, then ages 12, 4, and 3. “There was no assault or battery,” he said.

Trujillo’s 16-year-old daughter, Heather Trujillo, and the teen’s boyfriend, Lamar Roberts, 17, of Westminster also are jailed in Weld County in the death Dec. 6 of 7-year-old Zoe Garcia. An arrest warrant affidavit accused the teens of kicking and body-slamming Zoe, who died of blunt-force injuries.

Soon after Zoe’s death, Weld County Social Services officials took custody of Dana Trujillo’s infant twins.
