Democrats voted their consciences at Tuesday night’s caucuses, but it was clear their consciences weren’t so easily swayed. For many, picking between Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton was difficult: They said they liked them both. At Arvada West High School, 53-year-old Cheri Casey stood up and faced her neighbors in the overheated French classroom. She wore a purple turtleneck with a large Clinton sticker. “When I saw them both on stage during the debates, it literally broke me up,” she said. “I never in my lifetime thought I would see that.” She said she supported Clinton because the former first lady and experienced politician might be tougher in the general election.
