— A 46-

year-old man was killed Monday evening after being hit by a train near Quebec Street and Colorado 2, Commerce City police said.

Authorities did not release the man’s name pending notification of his next of kin.

The man, who lived in the Commerce City area, was apparently sitting on the Burlington Northern railroad tracks when he was hit about 6:30 p.m.
