Mission Training International in Palmer Lake asked for prayers Tuesday for the Christian missionaries hurt or killed by a rollover crash Sunday morning on C-470.
“Your prayers are needed more than ever as family arrives from all over the country,” administrator Dan Smith said in a statement. “These families are reeling with emotions and are in shock.”
Killed were Issac Sward of Long Beach, Calif., who would have been 18 months old on Friday; Jessica Pety, 21, of Duluth, Ga.; and Karin Jordaan, 45, of South Africa.
Isaac’s mother, Andrea Sward, 28, was hospitalized in critical condition, and his father Scott, 29, who was driving the van, was listed as stable.
The other van passenger, Emily Liddiard, 24, of Lexington, Mich., was in critical condition after the accident and is now in stable condition in the intensive care unit at Littleton Adventist Hospital. “We are asking God for the complete recovery of health for Andrea, Scott and Emily,” Hill said in his statement.
