Marilyn Manson — both the band and its so-named leader — used to have a target on its back when it visited Colorado, but these days it’s more gimmick than controversy. Take, for example, the animatronic effigy of Manson’s girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood that appears on stage during “Heart Shaped Glasses.” Ahem. Need we say more? Wednesday, Fillmore, 8 p.m. $39.50.

Tesla rocks and you know it. The ’80s hair metal band may be the antithesis of edgy, challenging music, but its melody-drenched songs have remained remarkably stable over the years, even if one of its biggest hits was a cover of “Signs.” Wednesday, with Cinder Road, Ogden Theatre, 7:30 p.m. $35-$37.

North Mississippi Allstars’ electrified take on country-blues doesn’t do much to update either genre, but the reckless, punk-informed playing (brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson used to front the group DDT) is refreshing nonetheless. Thursday, with Alvin Youngblood Hart, Bluebird Theater, 9 p.m., $25.
