COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs police have arrested a man suspected of killing two men at a party and wounding two others in a shooting spree early Saturday.

Hiram Larry Sampson, 32, was arrested in northeast Colorado Springs on charges of first-degree murder, said Colorado Springs police Sgt. Angelo Butierres.

“There is an investigation underway,” Butierres said.

Colorado Springs police say the shooter entered an apartment in southeastern Colorado Springs and began shooting during a party. One victim died at the scene, and the second victim was brought to a local hospital where he died.

Police identified the victims as Darrell Mitchell, 20, and Samone Robinson, 21.

Police found two wounded men at a nearby Sonic Drive-In, who they think were shot in the same incident. Police identified the wounded men as Derek Austin, 20, and Maurice Magazine, 21.
