CASTLE ROCK, Colo.—Police and school officials say eight students hospitalized after ingesting painkillers could face disciplinary action.

Castle Rock police Capt. John Anderson says investigators are trying to determine what drug the students took and what action should be taken against the students. School officials say the drug ingested by the students was the prescription painkiller oxycodone. They say a male student distributed the medication Friday.

The students were hospitalized after they experienced nausea and constricted pupils. Douglas County School District spokeswoman Whei Wong says the students are expected to be fine.
