A death threat against Greeley Mayor Ed Clark scrawled on a restroom has a University Schools student in hot water, the Greeley Tribune reported.
A retired Greeley police officer, Clark is director of security at the charter school.
The Weld District Attorney’s Office has filed misdemeanor harassment and criminal mischief charges against the girl, whose name and age were not released because she is a juvenile. The girl was not taken into custody, but rather her parents were issued a summons with a court date, the newspaper reported.
Other students may also be charged in the case later.
