DENVER—Two people were shot at a park in Aurora Tuesday after reports that several juveniles were fighting in the area.
Det. Shannon Lucy said police arrested a suspect.
Lucy said a man and a juvenile male were taken to local hospitals with gunshot wounds. Both victims are in stable condition.
Police originally responded at about 4:30 p.m. when callers reported 20 to 50 young people gathered at High Hollow Park near E. Louisiana Avenue and South Uravan Street. Callers believed a fight was about to break out, police said.
As officers responded, a sergeant reported he heard shots fired and said he was chasing a possible suspect on foot.
A suspect was later arrested in the 17800 block of East Florida Place.
