Getting your player ready...

Kanye West’s flashy performance Sunday at the Grammys no doubt nudged him to the front of many hip-hop lovers’ brains. What better timing then to announce a megatour with Rihanna, N.E.R.D. and Lupe Fiasco? Bursting with critical and commercial cred, the April 27 Pepsi Center show stands as one of the best live tickets of the still-young year. Passes for the “Glow in the Dark” tour are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($44.75-$74.75, Ticketmaster)

The Breeders, everyone’s favorite volatile, Dayton, Ohio-bred sister act, have a new record (“The Mountain,” out April 8) and tour. Assuming they can keep it together, you can catch them at the Ogden Theatre on May 28 (fingers crossed). Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($20, Ticketmaster)

My Chemical Romance may well take its time following up the overwrought, platinum- selling “The Black Parade,” having issued its “Live and Rare” disc in November. Constant touring brings the band to the Fillmore Auditorium on April 13. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($35, Ticketmaster)

Brian Regan makes his clockwork Denver appearance at the Paramount Theatre on April 17. Tickets for the stand-up comedian’s show are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($36-$46, TicketHorse)

Daniel Johnston got his due in the excellent, heartbreaking documentary “The Devil and Daniel Johnston” in 2005. The famed Austin, Texas, songwriter will play his first Mile High City show since 2002 on April 5. Tickets for the Ogden Theatre set are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($22.50, Ticketmaster)

NOFX sometimes sports better song titles (“Heavy Petting Zoo”) than songs, which is why many fans have outgrown the band’s classic snot-punk. For those that haven’t, the group plays May 2 at the Fillmore Auditorium with No Use for a Name. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($20, Ticketmaster) Seether and Flyleaf will co-headline an April 8 date at the Fillmore Auditorium. If you can stop crushing those beer cans on your head long enough to buy tickets, they are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($30, Ticketmaster)

British Sea Power’s “Do You Like Rock Music?” nabbed a winking “U.2” rating on this week — a nod to the U.K. indie act’s desperation to sound widescreen and weighty. Hear for yourself when the band plays the Hi-Dive on March 8 with Colourmusic and Rabbit is a Sphere. Tickets are on sale now. ($10, hi-dive.com)

Collective Soul came to define grunge-gone- wrong for many in the ’90s. Those people should take comfort in the fact that even though the band has a new disc, it will likely fail to reach the heights of hits like “Shine.” Tickets for the band’s March 31 Boulder Theater show are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($34, boulder )

Alpha Blondy postponed his Feb. 11 show because of illness, with a new one set for Thursday at the Ogden Theatre. Refunds are available at the point of purchase, likely Ticketmaster.
