It was difficult to miss the Police and their recent reunion tour, which sold more than 2.5 million tickets and was named the top-selling tour of 2007.
But just in case you did, you’ll have at least one more chance to catch the band in Colorado when they come back to play Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 21.
A note on the band’s website said this tour is playing “arenas and amphitheaters predominantly in markets where they did not perform in 2007.” The Police played a sold-out Pepsi Center here in June 2007.
Elvis Costello and the Imposters will open the North American dates on the tour, including the Red Rocks show, which is being billed as a “final area appearance.”
If the July 21 show sells out, the band and promoter may schedule more shows at Red Rocks as their next publicized date isn’t until July 25 in Milwaukee.
Tickets for the Red Rocks shows are pricey — $54, $94 and $229. They’ll go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 23 at . There are numerous options to supposedly buy early and get better tickets. Check out the Police Fan Club and more at the group’s website, .
