GREELEY, Colo.—Sean Taibi scored 20 points and Jabril Banks added 19 to lead Northern Colorado to a 79-66 victory Saturday night over Eastern Washington.
Banks was 9-for-9 from the field, while Taibi scored his 250th career 3-pointer in his last home game.
“I told the team before the game ‘You have nothing to lose. Just go out and play,'” Bears coach Tad Boyle said. “I was pleased with our effort and execution tonight. Jabril and Sean, we look for those guys and they came through.”
Northern Colorado (12-15, 5-9 Big Sky) led 38-35 at halftime and shot nearly 56 percent from the field.
Eastern Washington (11-19, 6-9) shot 44 percent from the field. Adris DeLeon had 27 points and three steals for Eastern Washington. Kellen Williams added 13 points.
