Orchids in bloom in New York

For the sixth year, The Orchid Show struts its stuff at the New York Botanical Garden. Through April 6, the exhibition and sale features thousands of orchids, including the Asian corsage, reed, dancing lady and nun’s cap. The Botanical Garden is open Tuesday through Sunday and Mondays during federal holidays; during the Orchid Show hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. An All-Garden Pass is $20 adults, $7 ages 2-12. The Saint Louis Art Museum presents “Quilts in a Material World: Selections from the Winterthur Collection” today through May 26.
